Pop-up dessert bar, Iftar courses and a Suhoor experience with a twist on Ramadan classics
PLAY Restaurant & Lounge, renowned as a leader in Dubai’s upscale entertainment and dining scene will be offering its signature inspiration and gastronomical innovation to a variety of delicious Iftar and Suhoor classics in its Ramadan menu.
The PLAY Ramadan menu will introduce guests to an Iftar experience that melds traditional Ramadan staples with its own creative twist to create a truly memorable dining experience. Dishes like wagyu vine leaves, crispy duck salad and butter chicken gyoza are merely some of the highlights offered over the course of the PLAY Iftar set menu. Priced at 250 AED per person, guests will be offered an unmatched selection of dishes that pair hot and cold appetizers with main courses of grilled wagyu strip-loin, baby chicken with jalapeño, grilled salmon teriyaki and PLAY’s very own signature fries.
In the full spirt of PLAY’s take on playful cuisine, dessert will include a pop-up Dessert Bar for Ramadan. PLAY’s current stylish bar will be converted into an extravagant display of beautiful confectionary, creating and interactive dessert experience. The makeshift patisserie will serve both off the current menu and some new innovative Ramadan-inspired desserts in a refreshing presentation that will take guests palettes on an exciting journey.
For the dessert bar, as well as running our whole dessert menu, we will also be adding a `PLAY Nitro Sundae”, explains Executive Chef Santiago Guerrero. `Expect table-side roast marshmallows and chocolate as well as a cotton candy surprise in the form of a frozen cheesecake wrapped in cotton candy.”
To cater to those guests seeking an unforgettable Suhoor option, PLAY has prepared a selection of à la carte options and Ramadan special offers. A ‘Cold Mezze’ package priced at 120 AED per per person will present nine different dishes that will include tomato tartar, smoked salmon, Baba Ganoush and PLAY spring rolls. The ‘Hot Mezze’ menu option will include: fatayeh with cheese, black cod croquettes, cauliflower tempura, falafel and crispy beef. For those seeking something a little different for Suhoor, the PLAY sushi will include dishes such as prawn teriyaki, avocado maki, king crab maki and chicken katsu maki.
Other Suhoor staples such as the ‘Grill Platter’ for two with dishes such as Wagyu skewer, lamb skewer, shish taouk and PLAY’s famed mini Wagyu bao burger will cater to the meat lovers. In addition the Seafood Platter with everything from grilled whole Omani lobster and tiger prawns to stuffed squid and teriyaki salmon as a Suhoor option to bring palates to attention.
In Executive Chef Santiago Guerrero’s words, he highlights `We want to create an experience that is both PLAY and Ramadan at the same time” he adds `Our goal is to honor the Holy month of Ramadan by letting our customers celebrate with them by offering something different”.
